New River Gorge National Park Trip

Dear 8th grade Parents and Students,

Mark your calendars!  8th graders will head to New River Gorge National Park  to engage in a three day, two night experience that captures students’ imaginations through travel, learning and service. The trip is scheduled for Wednesday May 28th-Friday May 30th. Students can expect to experience a lot of what New River Gorge has to offer. We will explore the park, engage in once in a lifetime excursions and do a river rafting trip.  This trip will allow students and teachers to celebrate and enjoy their last couple of weeks at ECS as a class before they move on to high school and should not be missed! 

On this site, you will find an itinerary and packing list for this trip.  Permission slips and medical forms MUST BE  filled out on Jumbula before we go on the trip.  Each student is expected to pay $350 for the trip.  Payments and all paperwork is due Monday April 28th! We do not accept cash, money orders or personal checks.

Families have two options to pay for the trip.

OPTION ONE: Pay out of pocket to cover the cost of the entire trip for your child/children. 

OPTION TWO: Pay as much of the fee as possible and apply for scholarship by emailing [email protected] to cover the rest of the cost.
