Girls Inc.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Girls Inc. of Greater Pittsburgh (formerly known as Strong Women, Strong Girls) is excited to work with girls at Environmental Charter Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. We will hold the program at Environmental Charter Elementary on Thursdays from 3:15-4:45 pm. Girls Inc. of Greater Pittsburgh (GIGP) serves girls in 3rd through 5th grade in our free and innovative after-school program. Through fun, hands-on activities, girls build skills in leadership, self-esteem, and problem-solving. The program is led by college-aged female mentors from the University of Pittsburgh, who guide girls in building confidence and community together. 

Our program will take place in person at Environmental Charter Elementary . GIGP’s top priority is the well-being of all girls, mentors, and families. We will follow any health and safety guidelines in place at your girl’s program site. 

Girls registered through your site will be paired with female mentors from our University of Pittsburgh chapter. Our curriculum is rooted in the Girls Inc. mission to inspire all girls to be Strong, Smart, and Bold. Each week, girls will engage in activities that promote healthy development, critical thinking, and self-confidence while building supportive mentoring relationships.
