Strong Women Strong Girls (Girls Inc.)

Dear Parents/Guardians,  

Strong Women, Strong Girls (SWSG) is excited to work with the girls at Environmental Charter School for the 2024-2025 school year. We will hold the program at Environmental Charter School on Thursdays from 3:20 pm - 4:50 pm. SWSG serves girls in 3rd through 5th grades in our free and innovative after-school  program, helping them to build skills in leadership, self-esteem, and problem solving through the study of  women and girl role models. Through participation in SWSG, girls will work to build positive mentoring  relationships with female college-aged mentors and to build community with the girls with their SWSG  program site.  

Please note: The SWSG program will be IN PERSON this semester at Environmental Charter School.  SWSG’s top priority is the safety and health of all of our girls, mentors, and their families. We will  follow the COVID-19 safety guidelines instituted by your girl’s program site, and in the event that the  site shifts from in-person to virtual activities, SWSG’s program will also shift. We ask that all girls  enrolled in SWSG also follow any/all COVID-19 guidelines at her site.  

Girls registered through your site will be paired with female mentors from our University of Pittsburgh chapter. Our curriculum highlights girls and women of different backgrounds, such as age, race,  ethnicity, career, and ability. Throughout the semester, your SWSG girl will play games that promote  healthy youth development, and will learn how our girl and women role models made a difference in the  world!  

To register your girl in SWSG for Spring 2025:  

You must submit the attached registration form and signature pages in one of the following ways. You  only need to submit the form once per girl, although you may receive it more than once. 

Submission options include (CHOOSE ONE):  

● Visit https://swsg.tfaforms.net/31 to complete registration online. 

● Complete the PDF and scan to site facilitator or program team (located at ECS INT school)

Program begins week of 2/03/2025 

Mentees will not be allowed to participate in the program until SWSG has received a  completed and signed registration form.
